How Startup Maps listings work

What can I add?

Add a startup, side project or early idea. Create an account, complete your profile, then add your project from My startups. Choose a city and a location inside its map boundary.

Create an account or manage your projects.

What does publication mean?

Listings are supplied by members and appear when saved. Administrators can remove content that breaks our rules. A public listing is not an endorsement or an independent check of its business claims.

How is revenue checked?

Founder-entered revenue and customer counts are self-reported. The separate Verified metrics form can check Stripe, Dodo Payments, Polar, RevenueCat or PayPal through their APIs. Stripe and Dodo figures are estimated recurring revenue; Polar and RevenueCat use provider MRR. PayPal shows gross completed incoming customer payments over the last 30 days, before refunds and fees, rather than MRR.

Checks are dated snapshots. Credentials are discarded after checking and must be entered again to refresh. One provider snapshot is stored per project. Use an account dedicated to that product; an account-level revenue check does not prove ownership of an individual product.

What is the virtual island?

The Christmas Island map is a virtual collection for projects beyond our featured cities. Its map coordinates do not represent their physical business locations. Listings can show their real home city.

How can I correct or report a listing?

Owners can edit from My startups. Signed-in visitors can report a listing from its profile. For help or removal appeals, use our contact page.
